Year 1 - Semester 1
Introduction to Information and Computer Technology (ECTS 5)
This module will provide the learner with practical knowledge of computer applications that are used essential for use in business.
Introduction to Learning and Personal Development (ECTS 10)
This introductory module offers learners the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the university learning environment.
Year 1 - Semester 2
Elective Modules (ECTS 10)
Students enrol in speciality modules specific to the ATU campus.
- ATU Mayo, Business Skills
- ATU Donegal, Hospitality, Design
- ATU Sligo (Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Engineering Design)
Exploring Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion including advocacy skills (ECTS 5)
Students will investigate contemporary issues from different perspectives and raise understanding of the benefits of studying and living in a diverse inclusive society.
Year 2 - Semester 3
Elective Modules (ECTS 10)
Students enrol in elective modules specific to the ATU campus as listed below:

Health and Wellness (ECTS 5)
This module emphasizes the importance of knowledge and attitudes and practices relating to an individual’s overall health and mental health.
Year 2 - Semester 4
Employability Skills (ECTS 5)
This module will prepare students for employment with specific instruction on career readiness and soft skills (communication, teamwork, collaboration, and critical thinking).
Work Placement-(ECTS 10)
Students will have an authentic work experience with a local employer. Students will learn industry-specific skills along with general employment skills.
