Work Placement: our courses include at least one work placement. This means you can learn and develop skills and knowledge which can help you decide on your career path after graduation (and many work placements are paid).

Broad Experiences: our courses include field trips, visits to industry partners and government agencies, and opportunities for international educational visits to European countries.

Industry Links: we have strong links with industry partners, regularly hosting careers fairs and inviting industry colleagues to talk to our students. These links offer opportunities for our students to gain practical experience, apply for internships, and access potential job opportunities.

Featured Courses

In these short videos, you'll hear from our Tourism, Hospitality and Heritage lecturers, students and graduates.

They will give you an idea what to expect if you decide to study at ATU.

For placement, I got the opportunity to work with a four-star hotel & golf resort in Wicklow in first year, and I travelled to New Zealand to work in an award-winning Irish Bar & Restaurant in second year. My favourite module was the international study tour, where we got to take our guiding module abroad.
