Testimonial
I chose to study the common entry science degree because of the choice it gave me at the end of Year 1…this degree is perfect as it allowed me to study different aspects of science before choosing one of the four specialism options on offer.

Studying Business and ICT at ATU’s Sligo Campus
“After graduation, I plan to work with Ernst & Young. I’ve already been offered a graduate position following an eight-week summer internship in Dublin. The internship was brilliant. I worked on exciting projects, and found it easy to integrate and collaborate with colleagues. The teamwork and collaboration skills we develop at ATU make it feel almost second nature when entering the working world.”

Studying History and Geography at ATU’s Mayo Campus
“After graduation, I hope to pursue a Master’s in Education to become a History and Geography teacher. However, the course is not solely designed for teaching, as it opens up a wide range of career opportunities. What I really value most at ATU is the strong relationship between the lecturers and students. It’s a close and supportive working environment where lecturers genuinely push you to do your best.”

Studying Science (Undenominated) at ATU’s Galway City Campus
“We’ve visited a wide range of locations, working on research vessels and speedboats, which makes the experience incredibly hands-on. It’s far more practical than any other course I considered. In first year, we used a variety of specialised labs for chemistry, physics and biology which gave us exposure to different scientific disciplines. This really allows you to explore the full range of areas you could pursue.”
