Tell us a little bit about yourself and what led you to choosing your course?
I have always played sport growing up and knew I wanted to study a course that would lead me to work in a sporting environment.
What are your favourite modules on the course?
Dance & Gymnastics as it was such a fun, unique and expressive module. You always leave class feeling happy.
Is there anything else about the course that you particularly enjoy or find beneficial?
All the different opportunities to work with local schools and kids to give us real life experience in the coaching/teaching world.
What is the best thing about your course that you think new applicants should know?
You get to experience both the performance and physical education route in 1st and 2nd year before specialising in a sector in 3rd year.
If you were speaking with a first year student about to start your course, what advice would you give them?
Be confident in yourself and get to know your peers, it makes the practical classes easier and more enjoyable.
If you are involved in sport, volunteering, working or have other passions you pursue outside of your academic life, can you tell us about that?
I have played on the Women’s ATU Basketball Team. It’s a great team full of amazing and welcoming women. I have been a part of this team for the last four years and will miss playing with them when I move on next year.
What are your plans after ATU and any long-term goals you are aiming for?
I have ran an adults dance fitness class this year and hope to broaden my areas with this class as well as introducing a kids dance class to local areas
