Donegal Induction
Welcome to Atlantic Technological University Donegal. Your induction will take place on campus on Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th or Friday 12th September. You’ll find out which day to attend in late August. You will receive further details in your Registration Emails.

Pre-arrival Virtual Induction and Orientation
To assist you in transitioning with your new academic year, you are expected to complete a pre-arrival virtual induction and orientation, through your Student Hub, and to attend your Programme Induction on the date specified below.
Pre-induction Orientation Events
The following groups of students will be invited to attend an orientation event before the main induction day:
- Mature Students- Monday, 8th September 2025, 10am-2pm, Room 3304
- Students on the HEAR scheme -Tuesday 9th September 2025, 10am -2pm, Room 3304
- QQI FET Students – Wednesday 10th September 2025, 10am-2pm, Room 2229
- Access Course Students( Registration/Induction) -Tuesday 9th & Wednesday 10th September 2025, 2.30pm-4.30pm Rooms 2204& 2205
- Students on the DARE scheme- you will be contacted via your ATU Student Email Account with
- Invitation to DLSS (Disability and Learning Support Services Induction) and
- Invitation to attend appointment to register with the service for relevant supports. It is essential to attend this appointment to be in receipt of supports.
- Neurodiverse Students- Students will receive an email invitation from the ATU Disability Office
- International Students- Students will receive an email invitation from ATU Global.
These sessions are here to help you settle in.
You’ll get useful information based on your course, answers to common questions, and advice on important topics.
We’ll also explain the supports available to you and help you get to know the campus.

Join us online for a quick overview of the ATU Library services and a tour around the website! We recommend that all student go to their nearest branch for a full tour, so in this session we’ll just walk you through our various services and show you where to find what you need on our website: www.atu.ie/library

Transitioning to Higher Education: Your Health & Wellbeing
5 – 6pm

Join us for an informative online session where we’ll discuss important topics related to your health and wellbeing as you navigate through your higher education journey.
Induction Day
Your induction day will take place on campus. All new students must attend.
Depending on your course, you’ll attend on either Wednesday 10th or Thursday 11th September. Check for your schedule below in Programme Induction Schedules – it will be available in late August.
The induction day aims to be fun and interactive. It gives you a chance to:
- Meet your classmates
- Get to know the campus
- Meet your lecturers
- Get more information about your programme and timetable
- Find out more about student life
- Learn about the supports available for you
#First5Weeks
Our #First5Weeks Welcome Programme kicks off in the first week of term and is open to all new and returning students.
It’s designed to help you settle into college life and make starting third-level education easier. Each week has a different theme to help you explore the academic, learning, and social supports available on campus.
Watch for updates in our weekly email/ newsletter, on social media and on posters around campus.
