The Killybegs campus is located in Ireland’s premier fishing port which is rich in tradition and heritage. Its picturesque location boasts spectacular scenery and harbour views. This campus is surrounded by breathtaking beaches and close to Europe’s highest accessible sea cliffs – Sliabh Liag. Students experience small class sizes and a personal approach to learning in a comfortable and welcoming setting. The campus has an impressive reputation for delivering exceptional academic programmes in culinary arts, hospitality and tourism

Plans for a new Ocean Innovation Centre are underway at this campus. This is an initiative poised to become a flagship rural regeneration stimulus. This centre is set to develop into a vibrant blue economy hub, fostering enterprise, innovation, applied research, commercialisation, and learning.

Public Transport

Killybegs is well serviced locally and nationally and easy to get around.  It is about three hours and thirty minutes’ drive from Dublin, Athlone and Galway and about one hour and fifteen minutes from its sister campus in Letterkenny. 

By Air

Donegal Airport (An Charraig Fhinn/Carrickfinn) is about one hour’s drive from Killybegs and has daily Aer Arann flights to and from Dublin. Ireland West Knock Airport and Derry Airport are also popular airports within a reasonable distance from the town: Derry City being approximately one and a half hours and Knock approximately two and a half hours away by car. By Sea

By Road – Car

Driving time from Dublin, Athlone or Galway is three – four hours, depending on traffic and time of day. Derry is about one hour’s drive and Belfast is approximately two and a half hours away.

By Road – Bus

Bus Éireann/McGeehan Coaches operate daily services to and from Killybegs. Often more local bus companies provide extra services at weekends and their schedules are designed to facilitate students and workers who commute weekly. The Bus Éireann depot and the drop-off point for most of the private bus companies are about five to ten minutes’ walk from the college. For more information visit –

Dublin to Killybegs 

This route is covered by Bus Éireann and McGeehan Coaches.  It also services towns of Dunshaughlin, Kells, Virginia, Cavan, Butlersbridge, Belturbet, Ballyconnell, Bawnboy, Swanlinbar, Enniskillen, Belleek, Ballyshannon and Donegal Town.

Galway to Killybegs 

Bus Éireann  and Feda O’Donnell operate along this route, which also services the towns of Tuam, Claremorris, Knock, Ireland West Airport Knock, Sligo, Bundoran, Ballyshannon and Donegal Town.

Main Building:

Library

A bright library space with study desks, desktop computers, bookshelves, and a service desk. The room has high windows, overhead lighting, and green carpeted floors. Several shelves are filled with books, and noticeboards with posters and information are displayed on the walls.

Killybegs Library offers a quiet study space as well as PCs, printing, photocopying and scanning services.

Student Social Spaces

A Chill out area is located in the bottom of the canteen with a pool table, games and TV.

Sports

A full gym and astroturf are available.

Food on Campus
A small café-style seating area with three people sitting at a cushioned booth bench with white tables. A digital screen displaying announcements is mounted on a wooden slat wall behind them. Overhead, large decorative pendant lights hang from the ceiling, and the room features green chairs and warm neutral tones.

The Main Canteen offers hot food, sandwich bar, baked goods, minerals, teas and coffees. It also contains microwaves.
