Course Overview
This programme aims to develop the learner’s proficiency in French so that they can communicate and interact successfully in French in a wide range of professional contexts. These may include aspects of general, business and commercial French language. Their learning will be based around the context of the culture of Francophone countries.
This module aims to develop the learner’s proficiency in French so that they can communicate and interact successfully in French in a wide range of professional contexts.
It will build on their existing language skills in the four language acquisition areas (listening, reading, writing and speaking) at level A1+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Upon successful completion of this module, students will be deemed to have reached level A2+ of the CEFR.

French for the Workplace 2This module is appropriate for learners who have already reached level A1+ according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). They will refresh their knowledge of French and learn additional French vocabulary and structures relevant to topics for professional purposes. These may include aspects of general, business and commercial French language. Their learning will be based around the context of the culture of Francophone countries.This module aims to develop the learner's proficiency in French so that they can communicate and interact successfully in French in a wide range of professional contexts. Upon successful completion, students are deemed to have reached level A2+ of the CEFR for languages. Learning Outcomes 1. Conduct a work-related conversation. 3. Follow a range of work-related conversations and extract the main points. 5. Write brief reports, emails or other transactional texts that could be used in a professional setting. 6. Demonstrate oral competency in a professional setting. |
