High-quality Fully Funded Digital Skills Courses
The North West Digital Employment Pathways Training Hub (NW DEPTH) is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
NW DEPTH is led by Atlantic Technological University in partnership with Ulster University, North West Regional College, and Donegal Education and Training Board via the well-established strategic collaboration, the North West Tertiary Education Cluster (NWTEC).
This initiative will provide an innovative portfolio of fully funded upskilling and reskilling training courses in digital and cybersecurity skills and will be delivered to over 2,000 people.
The overall objective is the provision of a learner-centred Digital Skills framework that encourages progression of learners on flexible but structured pathways. Supporting learners to move up the relevant qualification framework, and to help them to gain the skills to re-enter, remain or progress in their role in the North West cross-border region workforce.

NW DEPTH will provide a framework of digital skills courses free of charge, in areas of high-demand and cutting-edge digital skills, including:
- Information and Communications Technology
- Artificial Intelligence
- Cybersecurity
- Data Analytics
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Digital Media
How to Apply
Applications are submitted online by clicking the “Apply through NW Depth” button on the course webpage.
Please ensure to complete all sections of the application form and upload all relevant information and supporting documentation, including:
- Verified transcripts or statement of results containing a college logo or stamped by a college.
- Documents to support your proof of Address:
- Must be issued by a government authority, utility company, or financial institution.
- The issuing date must be within the last 6 months, except insurance policy documents can be issued within the last 12 months
- The address must be a personal residential address or a business address from one of the counties listed.
- The name on the document must match the name on the application
Applications are assessed and qualified applicants receive an offer in accordance with the priority basis. On acceptance of an offer, applicants will be invited to register in due course.
Am I eligible?
NW DEPTH is part of the PEACEPLUS Programme, which supports skills, jobs, and cross-border mobility across the PEACEPLUS Programme Area. The PEACEPLUS Programme area covers Northern Ireland and the six border counties of Ireland: Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Louth, Monaghan, and Sligo.
Who Can Apply
People can take part in NW DEPTH on a priority basis as follows:
- Highest priority:
People who live in the North West cross-border region covering counties Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Derry, Tyrone, and Fermanagh and people employed by companies based in these counties. - Next priority:
Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland: Cavan, Louth and Monaghan. - Then:
People who live anywhere else on the Island of Ireland.
General Requirements
All applicants must:
- Have a valid Irish PPS Number or UK National Insurance Number.
- Live full‑time in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
- Meet the required visa/nationality rules.
The Springboard+ eligibility guidelines are used to confirm what documents are accepted for:
- EU/EEA/UK/Swiss nationals, and
- non‑EU nationals.
