Students who successfully complete the programme will be able to progress to the related MSc or a PhD in a range of third-level institutions including ATU.

Entry Requirements
Candidates must hold a Level 8 Bachelor (Hons) degree with a minimum grade classification of H2.2 or equivalent in any discipline.
Candidates who do not meet the H2.2 performance standard in a Level 8 award will be required to pass a qualifying assignment at a H2.2 performance standard as established by the Programme Board for the programme in question and as approved by the Registrar. Candidates who do not have an Honours degree but have significant relevant experience may also be eligible for consideration via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Candidates may also seek to combine other qualifications and experiential learning to meet the entry requirements.

With modules in AI foundations, predictive analytics, AI and data visualisation, workplace AI collaboration tools, integrating AI in business practices, and ethics/responsible AI, graduates are well prepared for applied, business-facing roles such as AI/analytics specialist, data analyst (with predictive modelling), BI and data visualisation specialist, or digital transformation/AI implementation officer. The programme also supports progression into intelligent automation and productivity roles (supporting teams to adopt AI tools effectively), consultancy-style roles focused on identifying and delivering AI use cases, and junior responsible AI/governance roles where ethical deployment, risk awareness, and good practice are essential across sectors.
