This year, the event is being held in collaboration with the Jobs of the Future and Apprenticeship Expo, partnered with the Local Enterprise Office Mayo, and Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board.

These events provide senior-cycle post-primary students in the region with an opportunity to interact with professionals and experts from a broad range of sectors and industries. The Jobs of the Future and Apprenticeship Expo is being held as part of Mayo Ideas Month 2023.

ATU Mayo Open Day is an event open to all, secondary school students as well as parents, teachers and mature applicants, and presents an opportunity to learn about student life and studying at ATU Mayo. Dr Justin Kerr, Vice-President of the ATU Mayo campus says: “We are really looking forward to hosting our Open Day on ATU’s Mayo Campus. With the 2024 CAO Application opening on 6 November at 12 noon, this is a perfect opportunity for students and their families to begin their in-person research. This Open Day will provide a great opportunity to learn about the CAO process, financial supports and university life, along with finding out about all our CAO programmes. We are delighted to support Mayo Ideas Month 2023 and to have the Jobs of the Future and Apprenticeship Expo on campus during the Open Day event. Collaborations such as this support our region and provide an insight into the wide variety of learning options available in Mayo.”
