St Angela’s Induction

The following groups of students will be invited to attend an in-person orientation event before the main induction day on Wednesday 9 September from 2 – 4.30pm:

• Mature Students
• Students on the DARE scheme
• Students on the HEAR scheme

These sessions are here to help you settle in.
You’ll get useful information based on your course, answers to common questions, and advice on important topics.
We’ll also explain the supports available to you and help you get to know the campus.

You’ll get an invitation by email with more details in September.

Your induction day will take place over a full-day on campus. All new students are asked to attend.

Depending on your course, you’ll attend on either Thursday 10 or Friday 11 September. Check here for your schedule – it will be available in late August.

The induction day gives you an opportunity to:

• Get more information about your programme and timetable

The Peer Mentoring Programme provides a friendly introduction to ATU St Angelas for incoming first year students – all first year students are automatically enrolled in the programme and are invited to take part.

Student volunteers from 2^nd and 3^rd years are each assigned a group of first year students – a mentor group.  The student mentors provide peer support to help their first year student group to settle in at ATU St Angelas and to help them navigate the first weeks and months of their university life.  Where possible, peer mentors are assigned first year students who are studying the same programme as themselves.  

Watch out for an email from your assigned mentor in the first week of your course – this will be your invitation to meet your mentor and the other first year students in your mentor group.
