School of the Built Environment
Welcome to our School of the Built Environment. Our students learn through practical projects and real‑world experience, gaining the skills to shape safer, stronger, and more sustainable places.
At Atlantic Technological University (ATU), our Built Environment courses focus on practical, real‑world learning. Students spend time in specialist labs and workshops, working on projects that reflect the challenges of the built environment. They learn how to design, test, and develop solutions that support safer, more sustainable environments.
Many of our courses include structured work placements with regional and national employers. These strong industry links help students gain valuable experience, and many secure their first job through placement.
We also offer postgraduate study in built environment and engineering fields for those who want to deepen their expertise. Flexible online options are available for recent graduates and working professionals who want to upskill.
