Spanish for the Workplace 1This module is appropriate for learners with no prior knowledge of Spanish who wish to gain the basic skills and insights necessary to communicate in Spanish within a professional context. Grade O6/H7 or better in five Leaving Certificate subjects including English or Irish and Mathematics with a minimum of 160 points. English or Irish with a minimum grade of O6/H7 or better meets the English or Irish entry requirement. Mathematics with a minimum grade of O6/H7 or F2 or better meets the minimum mathematical entry requirement. Mature candidates (23 years of age or older by 1st January in the proposed year of entry) are exempted from the standard minimum academic entry requirements. Mature students will be assessed on the basis of a personal statement and may be invited to interview.
