Our common entry courses are designed to provide students interested in Art & Design with an opportunity to study various subject areas before choosing a specialised field to pursue the career of their dreams.

This provides students with the opportunity to study common modules and have the flexibility to amend their area of specialisation after their first semester of study, subject to space availability.

Galway City – Wellpark Road Campus

Aoife enjoys the creative atmosphere on the Wellpark Road campus. She likes how hands-on the course is and how she gets to learn by using a wide variety of equipment, such as microphones and cameras. She also enjoys the amount of creative freedom students have over what they do, what they create, and how they choose to do it.

Luke Fahey, Creative Design

Luke chose design because he loves industrial design and creating products that are both functional and beautiful. The course is practical and project-based, with great facilities and opportunities like Erasmus to study abroad
