Deferral Policy

Annual International Tuition Fees for September 2027 Intake Onwards*

Undergraduate Courses

€13,000 per annum. A non‑refundable fee of €20 applies to all undergraduate applications which are made direct to ATU and not through one of ATU’s Authorised Education Agents. Applicants may submit up to three programme choices, listed in order of preference.

The only exception to the fee quoted above is ATU’s BArch (Hons) in Architecture programme which is €17,000 per annum.

Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses

€15,000 per annum. A non‑refundable fee of €30 applies to all postgraduate applications. Applicants may submit up to three programme choices, listed in order of preference.

Online Masters Courses

Please refer to the webpage of the online masters course you wish to study to find the exact tuition fee amount.

Please note: In addition to the undergraduate and postgraduate (on-campus) fees quoted above, some courses will also require additional material fees. For more information, please see our Material Fees PDF. There are no additional material fees for online masters courses.

Fee Deposit Policy

Undergraduate Courses

€1,000 (payable within 60 days of the date of the offer if issued prior to January 31st OR within 30 days of the date of the offer if issued from 1st February onwards).

Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses

€2,000 (payable within a maximum of 30 days of the date of the offer).

Online Masters Courses

€1,000 deposit payable within a maximum of 30 days of the date of the offer.

Tuition Fee Payment Deadlines

September Intake

Visa Required Applicants: Payment in Full on or before 31st May.
Non-Visa Required: Payment in Full on or before 15th August.

January Intake

Visa Required: Payment in Full on or before 15th October.
Non-Visa Required: Payment in Full on or before 15th October.

Continuing Students

Must pay minimum of €6,000 (Irish Immigration requirement) by 15^th August.
Payment in Full on or before 31^st January.

Online Masters Courses

Full fees must be paid by 15th August.

Tuition Fee Refund Policy

September Intake (Undergraduate and Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses)

Withdrawal due to visa refusal (supported by DFA letter) = 100% Full refund.
Withdrawal up to 15^th August (reasons other than visa refusal) OR failure on part of applicant to satisfy offer letter conditions = refund of tuition paid less 50% of deposit.
Withdrawal from 16^th August to 31st October = refund of tuition paid minus the deduction of a) 100% deposit: and b) €250 refund admin fee.
Withdrawal from 1st November to 31st December = 25% refund of tuition payable for academic year.
Withdrawal on or after 1st January = no refund.
Where a student defers to a subsequent year the fee policy from the date of deferral will apply.

January Intake (Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses)

Withdrawal due to visa refusal (supported by letter from DFA) = 100% Full refund.

Online Masters Courses

Refund allowed up to 31st October (less deposit and less €250 admin fee).
No refund allowed on or after 1st November.
No deferrals are allowed. Students must apply again.

Important information for all refunds – Withdrawal date is the date ATU Admissions receive the withdrawal form.

*ATU reserves the right to review and make changes to the annual tuition fees for future intakes.

Deferral Policy

Offer holders must a) hold full unconditional letter of acceptance; b) accept this offer; and c) have paid and leave a minimum of (1) €1,000 deposit – if a prospective undergraduate student; OR (2) €2,000 deposit – if a prospective postgraduate student.
