International Fee and Refund Policy
Annual International Tuition Fees for September 2025 Intake Onwards*
Undergraduate Courses
€12,000 per annum. Undergraduate applications are free of charge. Applicants may submit up to three programme choices, listed in order of preference.
Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses
€14,000 per annum. A non‑refundable fee of €30 applies to all postgraduate applications. Applicants may submit up to three programme choices, listed in order of preference.
Online Masters Courses
Please refer to the webpage of the online masters course you wish to study to find the exact tuition fee amount.
Please note: In addition to the undergraduate and postgraduate (on-campus) fees quoted above, some courses will also require additional material fees. For more information, please see our Material Fees PDF. There are no additional material fees for online masters courses.
Fee Deposit Policy
Undergraduate Courses
€1,000 payable within 60 days of the date of the offer if issued prior to January 31st OR within 30 days of the date of the offer if issued from 1st February onwards.
Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses
€1,500 payable within a maximum of 30 days of the date of the offer.
Online Masters Courses
€1,000 deposit payable within a maximum of 30 days of the date of the offer.
Tuition Fee Payment Deadlines
Undergraduate Courses
- Minimum of full fee by 31st May (visa required) OR €6,000 by 31st August (non-visa required).
- Balance to be paid on or before 31st October (non-visa required or date of Immigration Registration Appointment whichever is the earlier).
Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses
September intake
- Full fees must be paid within 60 days of date of the offer if issued prior to 31st March OR by 31st May (whichever is the earlier).
- Full fees must be paid within 30 days of the date of the offer if issued on or after 1st April OR by 31st May (whichever is the earlier).
January Intake
- Full fees must be paid within 60 days of date of offer letter OR by 31st October (whichever is the earlier).
Online Masters Courses
- Full fees must be paid by 15th August.
Fee Refund Policy
September Intake (Undergraduate and Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses)
- Withdrawal due to visa refusal (supported by letter from DFA) = 100% Full refund.
- Withdrawal prior to 31st August (reasons other than visa refusal) = refund of tuition paid less 50% of deposit.
- Withdrawal between 1st September and 31st October = refund of tuition paid minus the deduction of a) 100% deposit: and b) €250 refund admin fee.
- Withdrawal between 1st November and 31st December = 25% refund of tuition payable for that academic year.
- Withdrawal on or after 1st January = no refund.
- Where a student defers to a subsequent year the fee policy from the date of deferral will apply.
January Intake (Postgraduate (on-campus) Courses)
- Withdrawal due to visa refusal (supported by letter from DFA) = 100% Full refund.
- Withdrawal prior to 31st December (reasons other than visa refusal) = refund of tuition paid less 50% of deposit.
- Withdrawal between 1st January and 28th February = refund of tuition paid minus the deduction of a) 100% deposit: and b) €250 refund admin fee.
- Withdrawal between 1st March and 28th April = 25% refund of tuition payable for that academic year.
- Withdrawal on or after 1st May = no refund.
- Where a student defers to a subsequent year the fee policy from the date of deferral will apply.
Online Masters Courses
- Refund allowed up to 31st October (less deposit and less €250 admin fee).
- No refund allowed on or after 1st November.
- No deferrals are allowed. Students must apply again.
Important information for all refunds – Withdrawal date is the date ATU Admissions receive the withdrawal form.
*ATU reserves the right to review and make changes to the annual tuition fees for future intakes.
