Sligo Induction
Welcome to Atlantic Technological University!
If you’re starting an undergraduate programme at ATU Sligo, your induction day will take place on Thursday 10 and/or Friday 11 September 2026. You’ll find out which day to attend in late August.

CAO Information Day
We will be hosting an information day on Thursday 27 August 2026 from 11am to 2pm. Incoming first year students along with their parents and guardians are welcome to attend to explore the campus, meet support staff and find out more about getting ready for the start of term.
Pre-induction orientation events
The following groups of students will be invited by email to attend an orientation before the main induction day:
- Mature Students – on campus; TBC.

- Students on the HEAR scheme or in receipt of Access Scholarships and 1916 Bursaries – on campus; TBC

- Neurodivergent Students – on campus; TBC
- This session is designed specifically for students who identify as neurodivergent and would like a more tailored introduction to university life.

Induction Day – coming soon
Your induction day will take place over a full-day on campus on either Thursday 10 and/or Friday 11 September 2026. You’ll find out which day to attend in late August. All new students must attend.
Please check-in at Main Reception (entry by the Fish) on arrival.
The induction day aims to be fun and interactive. It gives you a chance to:
- Meet your classmates
- Get to know the campus
- Meet your lecturers
- Get more information about your programme and timetable
- Find out more about student life
- Learn about the supports available for you
#First5Weeks
Our #First5Weeks Welcome Programme kicks off in the first week of term and is open to all new and returning students. It’s designed to help you settle into uni life and make starting third-level education easier.
