Welcoming their appointment, Dr John Andy Bonar, VP for Research, Equality & External Affairs, said:

We are delighted that three of our students have been selected to join the Education in Ireland Student Ambassador Programme. Chau, Franciale and Helen are part of a vibrant community of more than 3,000 international students currently studying across ATU’s campuses and programmes.

He added:

“We are excited to follow the inspiring content they will create as they highlight the exceptional experience of studying in Ireland and at Atlantic Technological University. Their participation comes at a particularly meaningful time, as we advance our inaugural Global Engagement Strategy, an important initiative highlighting our commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive and globally connected academic community.”

The Education in Ireland Student Ambassador Programme is a government-supported initiative that invites international students to share their experiences of studying and living in Ireland through blogs, videos and other digital content. Ambassadors also help organise events for international students, meet international visitors and provide campus tours.

Student ambassadors are selected from higher education institutions across Ireland to represent both their home countries and their colleges. Through authentic insights into academic, cultural and social life, they support prospective students as they consider studying in Ireland.
