On Friday 29 August, three of Atlantic Technological University’s campuses in Donegal, Sligo and Galway will host an Information Day providing available places and CAO offers advice sessions to prospective first year students.

The Information Day sessions will take place at ATU’s Letterkenny, Sligo and Galway City Dublin Road campuses and will run from 11am to 2pm. Incoming students in need of advice about their offers, or those without an offer seeking an offer through available places are advised to attend these events.

The events provide an opportunity to connect with ATU’s experienced admissions and marketing staff. Visitors to the event can explore their CAO options, with the event also open to those who may not have made a CAO application.

Those who did not receive the offer they hoped to get are also encouraged to attend the event, as the event provides a chance to connect with the ATU’s team for advice and support navigating the CAO process.

Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend the Information Day which takes place simultaneously on ATU’s Letterkenny, Sligo, and Galway City’s (Dublin Road) campuses.

Across the CAO season 2025, the university will be making in excess of 13,000 CAO offers, with ATU continuing to see a growth in first preference applications across the region.  Staff from ATU’s admissions team and fees office will be available to answer queries or concerns students and parents/guardians have as they navigate the various processes and systems associated with starting university.

Fiona Kelly, ATU Marketing Manager outlines, “To help minimise stress, we want to support our prospective students and their families as they begin their university journey. We know how important it can be to have someone available in person to answer questions and queries. We want to make the transition to university as seamless as possible, and we want learners to explore their options at the university so that they can reach their potential. Whether it’s advice about the offer you received, or advice about securing student accommodation we advise you to come along to these events.”

The Information Day will be of special interest to those not familiar with the CAO’s available place’s process, particularly if the student is the first in the household to attend university. School Engagement Officers from each campus will be on hand to welcome guests and take questions, while Students’ Union representatives will be on hand to highlight the supports and benefits of joining ATU’s vibrant student community.
