Explore courses, campuses and student life at ATU Galway Open Day
Atlantic Technological University (ATU) will welcome prospective students to its Galway City Open Day on Saturday, 18 April, from 10am to 1pm, across its Dublin Road and Wellpark Road campuses.
The Open Day offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the wide range of undergraduate programmes, facilities and student supports available at ATU Galway, while meeting lecturers, students and professional services staff in person.
Throughout the morning, attendees can chat one-to-one with lecturers, attend programme talks, take part in interactive demonstrations, and enjoy guided campus tours showcasing the university’s state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities. A shuttle bus service will operate between the Dublin Road and Wellpark Road campuses, allowing visitors to experience both locations on the day.
ATU Galway’s Open Day features comprehensive information on programmes across key academic areas, including:
- Science and Health
- Business
- Engineering and Computing
- Engineering and Computing
- Creative Arts, Design, Education and Social Sciences
- Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts at the Galway International Hotel School
Interactive lab demonstrations, open classrooms, student showcases and exhibitions will give visitors a real insight into what it’s like to study at the Galway City campuses, while scheduled talks provide overviews of academic pathways and career opportunities associated with each discipline. Dedicated teams will be available throughout the day to provide advice on:
- CAO applications and admissions
- Fees and grants
- Access routes including HEAR, DARE and mature student entry
- Disability and academic supports
- International study and Erasmus+ opportunities
- Careers, sports scholarships and the Students’ Union
- Online, flexible and professional development options
Visitors are encouraged to attend the Admissions and CAO Talk, which outlines what students need to know when making their CAO choices and preparing for entry to the university.
At the Wellpark Road campus, visitors can explore creative studios, media spaces and workshops, view student work across animation, design, fashion, film, art and media, and meet lecturers and current students.
Campus and library tours will run throughout the morning, giving insight into the creative and academic environment at ATU Galway. Visitors are encouraged to collect a welcome goody bag on arrival and follow the guided Open Day route.
