ATU Competitors Demonstrate Technical Excellence at WorldSkills Ireland 2025

WorldSkills Ireland is a national event that brings together learners and apprentices from across the country to compete in skills-based challenges aligned with industry standards. ATU’s representation included participants in areas such as electrical installations, carpentry, joinery, cabinetmaking, culinary arts, and industrial control. 

ATU winners at WorldSkills Ireland 2025 are: 

Dr Orla Flynn, President of ATU, said: “WorldSkills Ireland provides a valuable platform for learners to demonstrate their technical competencies in a competitive, real-world environment. The performance of our students and apprentices reflects the strength of our applied learning model and the quality of our teaching and training teams across campuses.” 

Professor Graham Heaslip, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computing at ATU, added: “The outcomes from this year’s competition highlight the importance of structured skills development and industry engagement. Our participants demonstrated high levels of preparation, discipline, and technical ability, which are essential attributes in today’s workforce.” 

ATU’s engagement in WorldSkills Ireland 2025 reinforces its commitment to applied education, regional development, and the advancement of technical and professional skills across a wide range of sectors.
