The Department’s academic roots were established 50 years ago, and today it offers a diversified educational portfolio, ranging from Certificate to PhD research.
In addition to being Ireland’s largest provider of accredited online programmes in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Quality Management, the Department offers degrees in Manufacturing, Mechanical, and Precision Engineering.
With academic staff possessing strong industrial backgrounds and generating impactful research, the Department is well-aligned with the Atlantic Technological University’s current strategic pillars. It also has the capacity to further contribute to the quadruple helix model of innovation among academia, industry, government, and society
