Course Overview
This module equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and contamination control in biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
This blended course in NIBRT introduces the essential behaviours and protocols required for maintaining cleanroom standards in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The course combines online theoretical sessions with hands-on practical training to ensure comprehensive understanding and application of cleanroom practices.
This course includes both hands-on practical and lecture components covering topics such as cleanroom classification, contamination control, gowning, behaviour and best practices.
During this course trainees will be introduced to the basics of cleanroom gowning and entry, gloving, environmental monitoring and sampling in a theory session before building on this knowledge and performing these operations using a practical component and practical scenarios to troubleshoot.
On completion of this course at NIBRT (or an affiliated NIBRT Global Partner site) earn your NIBRT Global Qualification by completing this micro-credential.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must have completed the Mandatory Practical attendance for this module with NIBRT within the previous 12 months.
Step 1 – Complete a practical training course at the NIBRT facility or at an affiliated NIBRT Global Partner site.

Step 2 – Register for the corresponding NGQ below for €500. To earn the qualification, you will complete a multiple-choice quiz, a 2,000-word lab report, and a 1,500-word reflective assessment. Upon successful completion, you will receive your accredited NGQ certificate (5 ECTS). NGQs are stackable, leading to a Special Purpose Award (30 ECTS).

Total Fees EU: €500
Fee is paid directly to NIBRT via a payment link that will be sent post registration. If you have received a funding subsidy, you will be sent a payment link for the adjusted amount owed.
