Both new and existing applicants can apply for programmes on CAO’s Available Places facility to start university this September.

Available Places at ATU

Highlighted below is a list of ATU programmes that are open to applications via the CAO Available Places facility. This list may be regularly updated.

Note: Our new Pharmacy and Physiotherapy programmes have a limited application window from 12 noon on 28th of August to 11am 4th of September only. You should apply via www.cao.ie, through the ‘Available Places’ facility during this this time.

If you are interested in studying other programmes such as Business, Engineering, Computing and Science we also have limited number of spaces available on these programmes.

  1. Available Places Opens – 28 August at 12 pm.

  3. Add Course – Select either ‘Add Level 8 Available Place Course’ or ‘Add Level 7/6 Available Place Course’.
  4. Follow Instructions – Proceed with the on-screen prompts.
  5. Accept Offer – Confirm your Available Place offer, which will cancel and replace any previous offer or acceptance.

Internal Transfers at ATU

If you have received an offer from ATU, and you’re not happy with your offer, contact us via cao@atu.ie 

Students who have accepted an offer from ATU via CAO and who register on stage 1 of the ATU programme may have an opportunity in semester 1 to avail of an ‘internal transfer’. The following criteria applies:
