ATU Mayo
This Common Entry degree offers three award options in Outdoor Education, Outdoor Education and Therapeutic Applications or Geography and Outdoor Education. 


These degrees offer a unique blend of academic learning and adventure sports training. Students explore outdoor education’s therapeutic, developmental, and educational aspects, while also studying Ireland’s natural and cultural landscape, health, fitness, group facilitation, recreation management, teaching, and psychology. Students select their specialist modules during Semester 1 in Year 1. Each week includes adventure sports practicals in Mayo’s mountains and coastline, leading to National 
Governing Body Adventure Sports leadership qualifications.

BA (Hons) in Design
ATU Galway City
Applicants can now apply for Level 8 Design-based programmes on an individual basis while still enjoying the flexibility to transfer among all four programmes after the first semester in Year 1.

The programmes explore both the traditional and digital design skills across all four disciplines. Students learn the methods and techniques to research, develop and realise their creative vision as a designer, problem-solver and entrepreneur. Teaching will take place in studio workshops, through demonstrations, lectures, seminars, field trips and one-to-one tutorials preparing graduates for professional life in a design studio, to work individually or as part of a team.

BA (Hons) in Corporate Law
ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus
This new programme in Corporate Law includes subjects such as contemporary 
aspects of corporate law, banking law, financial services regulation, insurance law, commercial law and privacy/data protection. Graduates from this programme will have an understanding of the Irish legal system and legal processes and also the fundamentals of business and corporate law. This is a qualifying law degree which means that it contains all the requisite core law modules required to support graduates to undertake entrance exams for the Law Society of Ireland, should they wish to qualify as a solicitor.

BA (Hons) in Business and Irish 
ATU Sligo and St Angelas Campuses
This three-year honours degree is a joint collaboration developed between ATU Sligo 
and ATU St Angelas. It covers the disciplines of Business and Irish simultaneously and 
equally. The Business strand is undertaken through the medium of English, and the 
Irish strand through the medium of Irish. Opportunities occur to marry both subjects throughout the degree. Graduates can pursue a wide range of careers or can progress to a variety of further study options, including a PME to become a secondary school teacher of Business and Irish.
