The Údarás na Gaeltachta scholarships provide an avenue for upskilling for qualified residents of Gaeltacht areas without having to relocate for studies. This 2 year fully online programme of study is designed to support industry, innovation, and employment in the tourism and events industry within Gaeltacht areas where tourism is a significant employer.

The programme is particularly suited to those engaged in areas such as tourism and events planning and management, cultural promotion, or community development within the Gaeltacht and should demonstrate proficiency in Irish language through TEG B1 Irish, while Leaving Certificate Irish may be considered.

What is the value of a scholarship?

All course fees for full 2-year MSc in Sustainable Tourism and Event Management (Course code: SG_BSUST_M09) valued at €6300

Eligibility

Candidates must hold a Level 8 Bachelor of Business degree with a minimum grade classification of H2.2 in tourism, event, hospitality, business, marketing, or other related business discipline, and have TEG B1 Irish (Leaving Certificate Irish may be considered). Candidates who do not meet the H2.2 performances standard in a Level 8 award will be required to apply through ATU’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process.
