AbbVie Ireland STEM Excellence Scholarship
The AbbVie Ireland scholarship aims to support students from underrepresented or less advantaged backgrounds by offering an annual bursary to help cover the costs of third-level education.

The initiative is designed to encourage greater diversity and inclusion in STEM-related disciplines, ensuring that more students have access to opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Up to three scholarships are available to students at ATU’s Sligo Campus. To apply, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria detailed below.
Each scholarship is valued at up to €12,000 per student over 4 years, to a maximum of €3,000 per year. An internship as part of the scholarship is expected and will be organised in collaboration with the ATU and AbbVie Ireland, subject to business needs.
