Graduate of our MBs in Leadership & Innovation, current student of the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) and VP of Innovation & Administration at PGIM Ireland.
“I left school at 15 and entered the workforce early, gaining experience with multinational companies during the 2008 recession. Over the years, I built a career in building operations and consultancy, which eventually led to a dual role focused on operations and innovation. In 2018, I completed a Master’s in Innovation and Leadership, finishing in 2020. Returning to education as a mature student was a rewarding experience—I loved the research process and wanted to continue learning.
The Doctorate in Business Administration appealed to me because of its clarity and structure. From the start, the programme sets clear expectations, ensuring you understand the commitment involved. Two years in, I’ve managed to balance work and study successfully, thanks to planning and realistic time management. What makes the DBA unique is the autonomy it offers. You can focus on topics you’re passionate about—areas where you can make a real contribution to practice and knowledge. That sense of purpose makes the research process enjoyable.
The DBA is helping me grow as both a practitioner and a researcher. In business, decisions are often made quickly with limited information. Through this program, I’ve learned to approach problems from multiple perspectives, involve more voices, and create a more collaborative and innovative culture. It’s not just about faster decisions—it’s about better ones.
The DBA gives you the freedom to study what matters to you—and that makes all the difference.”
