600 delegates expected to attend two-day conference in March 2023
On Thursday 8th December, the IGC launched the IGC Conference 2023 at the ATU Sligo Campus. This year’s conference theme, Reconnecting, Re-energising, Renewing, is very fitting for what will be the IGC’s first in person conference in two years.
The IGC Conference will take place in Atlantic Technological University, Sligo campus on the 10th & 11th March 2023. The event is being sponsored by Atlantic Technological University, one of the largest multi-campus universities in Ireland.
The conference will feature an intriguing range of workshops where invaluable knowledge and expertise will be shared. The IGC Sligo branch have been busy working alongside ATU and the conference organiser to ensure the highest calibre of facilitators and an impressive range of workshops are available to meet the needs of IGC members.
President of ATU, Dr Orla Flynn said: "Atlantic Technological University is privileged to sponsor the 2023 annual Institute of Guidance Counsellors Conference as it returns to an in-person event for the first time in three years. As a new university we look forward to welcoming guidance counsellors from around the country to our Sligo campus in March and have the opportunity to share with them our mission and vision of ATU. In line with this year’s theme, we look forward to reconnecting face-to-face with our IGC colleagues, re-energising our common objectives and renewing our commitment to work closely with guidance counsellors to help deliver the highest standard of Technological University for the region."
