ATU iHub client company CroíValve secures €33 million Series B investment
CroíValve, a Dublin-based medical technology company with a research office at the iHub in Atlantic Technological University (ATU), Galway, has secured €33 million in a Series B funding round
This significant investment will support the continued development and clinical advancement of the company’s innovative cardiovascular therapies. The Irish medtech company is developing a minimally invasive treatment for tricuspid regurgitation, a serious heart condition affecting millions globally.
ATU iHub Manager Turlough Rafferty congratulated the company on securing $36 million (approximately €33 million) in Series B funding.
It marks a significant milestone in its growth. The round includes a $20 million (€18.4 million) expansion, alongside $7 million (€6.4 million) in grant funding, bringing total funding linked to the round to $43 million (approximately €39.5 million) including grants. The investment, backed by BGF, the European Innovation Council and the MedTech Syndicate, will support the expansion of CroíValve’s TANDEM II clinical trial across the US and Europe.
CroíValve’s DUO™ system offers a non-surgical option for patients unsuitable for traditional procedures, aiming to improve outcomes for those living with this complex condition.
