This course explores the use of Revit software and the BIM process in the effective design and delivery of construction projects, concentrating firstly on acquiring the Revit skills to produce a 3D BIM model of a domestic and commercial building; then progressing to a project-based curriculum focussed on the succeeding dimensions of BIM such as 4D clash detection, 5D quantity take-off and 6D energy modelling, developing and advancing the learner’s skills in Revit Architecture and BIM workflow and collaboration.
Course modules link together to allow learners to gain competencies that cut across individual activities, with peer group projects, reflection exercises and teamwork to develop skills that can be employed in any context, provide the foundation for learners to rapidly update their digital construction skills, in particular the use of BIM software.
