Course Overview
This programme aims to develop English language and communication skills in the non-English speaking learner in order to enhance those skills required to transition to life in Ireland.
Delivery will be blended and will include both face to face classes and online delivery. The teaching approach employed will include a variety of techniques including lectures, case studies, group discussions, group role-play, presentations and reflection. Guest lectures will also form a key part of the programme, imparting their expertise to learners. Throughout the programme there will be high levels of both collaborative learning and individual work, with learners encouraged to apply theory to real world experiences and situations.

Alternatively, 5 O6/H7 in the Leaving Certificate, to include Mathematics (F2/O6/H7) and either Irish or English (O6/H7) OR QQIFET Level 5, or equivalent qualification.

Any applicant applying based on non EU awards/qualifications must apply directly to the International Office at ATU Donegal. In order to be considered for entry international applicants must present:
A qualification that is recognised as being equivalent to a Level 5 Irish qualification and have an IELTS qualification of 5.5 minimum.
