Programme Overview
This module explores the role of epidemiology in health improvement, health protection, and health service delivery, with a focus on sustainability in health management.
Participants will gain skills in epidemiological study design, critical appraisal of studies, and interpreting and communicating health-related outcomes.

Virtual Sessions

Eligibility & Requirements
- Fields of Expertise: Open to all disciplines related to health, data science, policy, and sustainability.
- Selection Criteria: Applicants must submit a rationale for taking this module.
- Technical Requirements: Participants must bring a university laptop with access to MS PowerPoint & Excel (moderate proficiency required).
Learning Outcomes
- Ability to describe the health of a population by person, time and place.
- Interpret basic statistical methods within epidemiological papers.
- Formulate appropriate questions and search strategies and assess evidence for developing recommendations for practice.
- Assess and appraise the effectiveness of public health interventions or services.
