MyCareerPath is a cost-effective online career development resource.

 

MyCareerPath is a service available to people in the workplace, returners to education, entrepreneurs seeking to upskill and people looking to accelerate their career and progress within their organisation.

 

It helps managers and HR departments by enhancing the career development experience for employees at all levels. MyCareerPath also helps enable strong employee engagement, upskilling existing team members and providing guidance to education and career pathways at all levels.

 

MyCareerPath is a 6-8 week career development programme which gives you access to four meetings with your Career and Learning Pathway advisor to help you realise your strengths and develop your potential.

For Learners

Once you have signed up you will be given access to the online learning portal and you will schedule a meeting with your careers advisor at a time that suits you. Your advisor will support and mentor you through the 6 week programme.

Learners benefit from 4 x 30-minute meetings with their Career and Learning Pathway Advisor where they will be guided through a range of career development, strength and motivation assessments. From there their Career Advisor will create their career development plan, this will include a set of e-learning programmes designed to support their career development and bridge any transversal skills gaps. Learners are encouraged to employ long term career planning and will be advised on any ATU programmes that could support their career goals.

MyCareerPath is a service supported by the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) which offers organisations career guidance and mentorship, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), to address skills gaps and customises career and learning pathways for employees.

We partner with businesses and organisations to understand the challenges faced and find solutions for their future skills.

The platform will contribute to fostering a culture of continuous learning within the organisation.

Recognition for Prior Learning

Learning happens everywhere, not only through formal education, but also through experience in work, volunteering, and involvement in sporting or community groups. ATU recognises this learning and gives it value through a process called Recognition of Prior Learning, or RPL.

A fundamental principle of Recognition of Prior Learning is that one should not have to relearn something previously learned. It may be reasonable for a registered student to apply for an exemption for a module(s) on evidencing prior certified or experiential learning.

MyCareerPath provides a Recognition of Prior Learning Preparation Pathway.
