ATU Global Entry Scholarship

There are two ATU Global Entry Scholarship fee discount bands. The fee discount amount and eligibility criteria for each are listed below.

€2,000 Fee Discount

Country of Origin GDP (per capita) less than USD25,000 but greater than USD12,500 (World Bank)

€3,000 Fee Discount

Country of Origin GDP (per capita) of USD12,500 or less (World Bank)

ATU Global Partnership Scholarship

A €3,000 fee discount is awarded to successful applicants.

The ATU Global Partnership Scholarship is applicable to all non-EU institutional partner students and Government sponsored scholarship students.

ATU Global Ireland Homecoming Scholarship

A €3,000 fee discount is awarded to successful applicants.

The ATU Global Ireland Homecoming Scholarship is applicable to all non-EU students who are the child, grandchild or great grandchild of an Irish national.

ATU Global Merit Entry Scholarship

A €4,000 fee discount is awarded to successful applicants.

There are a limited number of scholarship awards available and these are competitively awarded.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

    • Year 1 NFQ Level 8 non-EU applicants
    • Minimum IELTS 6.5 * (no component below 6.0) or equivalent
    • Minimum CGPA > 80% (NFQ Level 5)

Postgraduate Entry Requirements

  • Minimum IELTS 7.0 * (no component below 6.5) or equivalent
  • Minimum First Class honours degree in cognate area (NFQ Level 8)

* Non-EU Stamp 2 visa required students

ATU Global Excellence Scholarship

A €6,000 fee discount is awarded to successful applicants.

There are a limited number of scholarship awards available and these are competitively awarded.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

  • Year 1 NFQ Level 8 non-EU applicants
  • Minimum IELTS 7.0 * (no component below 6.5) or equivalent
  • Minimum CGPA > 85% (NFQ Level 5)

* Non-EU Stamp 2 visa required students

Government of Ireland Education Scholarships

These scholarships are funded by the Government of Ireland in partnership with Irish higher education institutions (HEIs) and managed by the Higher Education Authority. Under the initiative, 60 scholarships are awarded each year for one year of full-time study at NFQ levels 9 or 10 (master’s, postgraduate diploma or PhD).

Successful candidates will receive:

  • A €10,000 stipend for one year of full-time study
  • A full fee waiver to the awardees for the year of their scholarship

Ireland Fellows Programme

The Ireland Fellows Programme offers people from around the world the opportunity to spend one year studying in Ireland. Students study for a masters or PhD in areas linked to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme is fully funded by the Irish Government and is offered under the auspices of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

ATU Sports Scholarships

The ATU Sports Scholarship Programme provides excellent supports to talented student athletes. We recognise their need to balance both sporting and academic commitments. ATU Sports Scholarships include financial benefits of up to €3,000 per annum. Non-financial benefits include free or reduced rate access to sports facilities, access to sports science supports, free sports scholarship gear plus lots more.

ATU Alumni Scholarship for Masters Programmes

We are committed to fostering the professional and academic growth of our alumni through a variety of lifelong learning opportunities. As part of our alumni benefits programme, we are excited to offer a 20% reduction in academic fees for members of the ATU Alumni Network who choose to pursue a level 9 master’s programme at ATU.
